Creative Film Projects

by admin on December 13, 2010

Our creative team work across the UK running innovative projects for all age groups. For more info about the kind of projects we work on see the list below.
This year we’re working with young people from Action for Children, Save the Children, The Caledonian Club,The Citizens Theatre.
Most of the films you can view on this page have been shot by participants on our projects. For some this is their first ever film making experience.
We’ll be uploading some more of our recent creative project videos very soon!

Project services

Introduction to Filmmaking

We run workshops designed to introduce people to filmmaking for the first time. You can commission us to work with any age group interested in making films.

Making a Short Film

We facilitate short film projects which allow groups to learn about filmmaking, make key decisions and create their very own film.

MediaCroft

MediaCroft is a residency project that involves the Urbancroft team relocating to your town or area for a period of time to facilitate a new media/film project. It can be designed to work in tandem with other major events or projects happening in the area at the same time.

Collaboration

Looking to collaborate with us? We often collaborate with other arts organisations and companies to deliver projects together.
Come and talk to us about your ideas!

We’ve worked in community centres, schools, colleges, shops, churches, warehouses...

...museums, care homes, & hospitals, in locations from the far North of Scotland to the South East of England. Urbancroft facilitates creative projects with all ages, anywhere.

We’ve worked with challenging young people, elderly groups, young offenders, drug rehabilitation programmes, employment projects, youth groups, young mothers, multicultural groups and students. We’ve even collaborated with major charities and local community groups.

Most importantly, our projects are led by enthusiastic individuals passionate about what they do and eager to share their knowledge. We believe in the power of participatory processes and like to make our projects as practical and accessible as possible. Many of our projects are linked to education and qualifications and have resulted in positive outcomes and opportunities for our participants.
